GS1 Association-Greece is the only official provider in Greece to issue GS1 barcodes starting with 520 and 521.
The role of the Greek association
GS1 Association Greece, as a member of the global organisation, is the sole legal authorized body in Greece for the issuing and management of GS1 barcodes.
Its purpose is to manage the GS1 system in Greece and to provide its members with the tools allowing them to ameliorate their productivity and to become more efficient through the use of GS1 standards and our provided services.
It is applied to all branches trade, industry and services: indipendent artisinal enterprises, producers, multinational companies, commercial enterprises,large retail chains,wholesale and merchandisers.
It is run by its members which are the users of GS1 standards, thus securing the formation of a wider framework of cooperation between them, guaranting the achievement of its purpose: to always work in favour of the companies themselves.
