HellasTrace is an advanced electronic platform designed for tracking products throughout their entire supply chain.
Key and standardized product information is captured in HellasTrace at designated points in the supply chain, as defined by businesses. This data can then be shared with other commercial partners, authorities, and consumers.
Developed in alignment with the GS1 EPCIS international standard for electronic supply chain event tracking, HellasTrace aims to provide real-time insights into the "What, Where, When, and Why" of specific events related to products across the supply chain.

How does it work?
The HellasTrace platform is developed based on the international EPCIS standard by GS1 (ISO/IEC 19987), which allows the recording of "events," i.e., data related to the product along with the time these events occur. Such data can pertain to a movement, such as an order being sent from a warehouse to a retail store, or they can represent steps in a production process, for example, harvesting or freezing.
This combination provides commercial partners with complete, accurate, and reliable information about the product's history.
